Of course, we have been very busy preparing for the Summer Olympic Games, but we have also been involved in the Cannes Film Festival, the Monaco Grand Prix, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Paris Blockchain Week, and dozens of other protection missions across France, including Corsica. We have just completed the Lions Festival and are just beginning the Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping, while still fully engaged in Fashion Week. 02/16/2024. Published on 01/31/2024, the first figures for crime and delinquency recorded in France in 2023 indicate an increase compared to 2022. While thefts against individuals are generally down (-8% for violent thefts without a weapon, -3% for non-violent thefts), homicides (+5%) and attempted homicides (+13%) continue to rise. Assaults and battery (+7%), sexual violence (+8%), and fraud (+7%) also increased last year.

The recent decree No. 2022-209 of February 18, 2022, introduces some changes to the conditions for practicing private security activities and to the profession’s code of ethics (notably Article R. 631-23 on subcontracting, which will be amended on May 26, 2022). The code of ethics for private security, of course, governs the personal protection activities carried out by Wagram Protection.

01/18/2022. In France, the first fashion shows of 2022 begin today with Men’s Fashion and will be immediately followed by Haute Couture shows starting January 24. 12/15/2021. Recently, Thomas Rossi, the head of Wagram Protection, was invited by the Bulwark training center to serve as a jury member and represent the employer group during a CQP A3P examination (Professional Qualification Certificate: Personal Protection Agent). For reference, Article 13 of the decree of June 27, 2017, defines the specifications applicable to the training of French protection agents (in addition to Article 7).

11/02/2021. Wagram Protection offers protection programs designed to ensure the safety of individuals throughout the different stages of a criminal procedure (filing a complaint – judicial investigation – trial hearing). In Paris, the new headquarters of the Regional Directorate of the Judicial Police has been located since 2017 at 36 Rue du Bastion. Larger and more modern, it adjoins the equally recent and iconic Paris courthouse.

Since January 18, 2021, the French government has imposed a seven-day quarantine and two PCR tests for any traveler coming from countries outside Europe—including the United Kingdom—to address the pandemic threat. Since January 1, Brexit has also brought significant changes to travel and work arrangements in France for British nationals. Indeed, the rules of free movement no longer apply between the United Kingdom and the rest of Europe.
